We are a small family/hobby breeder Located on a small farm in Milton- Freewater, Oregon.
Our Mission since 2018 is to produce the very best well rounded, confident, outgoing, Loving, Quality Toy & Mini Aussies in a Family Setting. We focus on Blue eyed Tri & Merle Lines. We are motivated by a passion for the breed and a deep understanding of quality, health and socializing of our dogs, we continue to serve a growing client base and expand our puppy offerings to meet the needs and desires of our extended dog families. There's no better feeling than when we match one of Sparkling Cross's with their caring new owner, you become part of our family. We breed for Great Temperaments, beauty, and confirmation.
All of our dogs are full Disease Panel Genetic Tested, Color Coat Testing, & OFA Certifications to ensure we are creating the healthiest puppies possible. I Specialize in Emotional Support dogs as my son is special needs and my main male kip is registered Emotional Support and has helped him so much, Bringing so much joy to our family. We also specialize in the Minimal white with bold markings.
Puppies are all raised in our home, handled Daily, Very well socialized to sounds, children, Cats, & livestock. They are started litter box and crate trained prior to leaving to their new home.
New this year we have dual registered with ASDR,AKC MAS and most our dogs will be Mini Americans.
Hello, My Name is Shaunte' I am the Breeder behind The Sparkling Cross Toy & Mini Aussies and Also Owner Of 2016 AQHA Stallion Firen French Kuss. My assistant/son is Hayden helps me with the dog side of things and loves it. We are a Small Family Hobby Breeder in a small town of Milton-Freewater Oregon, about 30 minutes away from the Famous Pendleton Round Up “Let 'R Buck”, I grew up on a 60-acre ranch raising Quarter Horses with my family. In high school I showed steers, and pigs for FFA. In my free time I played Sports Softball and Volleyball. The remaining of the time I spent on my horses Barrel Racing, Drill with the Walla Walla Wagonettes where I was Treasure, Team Penning, and Carrying Sponsor Flags for the Walla Walla Fair & Frontiers Days Rodeo. I graduated from WWCC with a degree in Accounting, Business & Management, and Office Assistant. I previously owned Border Collies growing up and that's where I started breeding dogs in 2009. I purchased my first female Mini Australian Shepherd Paisley in 2016 and fell in love with the breed. They are very smart and loyal. My dogs go everywhere with us, we are a big outdoors family spending our weekends hiking or doing outside activities. I have been very fortunate and get to work from home and spend lots of time with the dogs and puppies.
Hayden is a big help with the puppies socializing them for their new families. He spends every change he can holding the puppies, reading them stories, and singing to them. Hayden enjoys riding his Motorcycle, playing baseball, Football, and playing his X box with his cousins and friends. In 2018 we spent lots of our time seeing doctors, councilors, and specialist's at OHSU, Hayden was later Diagnosed as a High Functioning Autistic, Anxiety, Depression & ADHD. In 2018, I decided to purchase Kip as he is emotional support dog for Hayden, Kip has been a blessing to our family and along with our other dogs.
Our dogs are a part of our family and live in the house. Of course, most of them like to sleep with Hayden! We strive to breed, raise and sell top quality ASDR Toy and Miniature Australian Shepherds. We Specialize in Emotional Support & Minimal White with blue eyes in our program. All of our dogs are genetically tested & Color Coat Tested through Paw Prints Genetics. We do not and will not breed carrier to carrier or any dog positive for Hereditary Cataracts. We also are doing OFA Certifications on eyes, Hips and elbows working towards C.H.I.C certified which means are dogs pass all testing available. Each Puppy is hand whelped, and from the moment they are born they have around-the-clock care, attention and unconditional love. Our dogs are registered through American Stock Dog Registry (ASDR).
Sparkling Cross puppies are raised indoors and handled daily from birth. We start potty training at 3 weeks old using the litter box with Bedding Pellets and also started on wet food and moms milk. At 5 weeks old they get an expanded area with a crate to sleep in when they choose. They are socialized around kids, loud noises, dogs, outdoor cat "Kid", Horses (Fancy, Decker, Millie, & Denali), and visitors. All of our pups will be administered 2 shots while with us, be on a strict deworming schedule, tails and dewclaws removed (unless discussed before 72 hrs.), microchipped, come with a health guarantee, genetically tested parents with proof and an ASDR Limited Registration. Our pups can be sold with Full Registration if we think the pup could be show/breeding quality and an approved program. All Puppies are sold on contract with health guarantee.
We do not mass produce puppies. Having a few selected litters a year that allows us to give each puppy individual attention they need in early stage of life. Our Commitment to our puppies does not stop at the adoption, but continues through out their entire life. We strive to be available to the adoptive families to assist them in achieving the best relationship between them and their newest fur family member.
